Cecelia Marie Cichan: What happened to Cecelia Cichan
Cecelia Marie Cichan was 4 years old when she survived a plane crash on Aug 16, 1987. Cichan is now known as Cecelia Marie Cichan-Lumpkin. Cichan-Lumpkin was on Northwest Airlines Flight 255 when it crashed during takeoff from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.
Cecelia Cichan-Lumpkin lost her parents and her brother in the plane crash. Cichan-Lumpkin lived with her relatives and had graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in psychology. Cichan-Lumpkin’s relatives did not favor living in the spotlight and shielded her from the glare of the media.
