Diana Taurasi, the women’s basketball player for Phoenix Mercury, has been cited for driving under the influence of alcohol. Taurasi was stopped in her car at 2:30 am July 2. Taurasi was speeding when the officer pulled her over.

When the officer smelled alcohol on her breath, he gave her a few field sobriety tests. Taurasi was asked to give a blood sample to test for her alcohol content.

On Wed night, July 1, the Phoenix Mercury won over the Seattle Storm.
