Lizzie Bell’s Diamond Blackfan Anemia: Bell’s Diamond Blackfan Anemia
Lizzie Bell has Diamond Blackfan Anemia. Lizzie Bell, 14, has a condition called Diamond Blackfan Anemia, where her body is unable to make her own red blood cells. She needs 2-3 pints of blood every 2-3 weeks to stay alive.
Elizabeth “Lizzie” Bell’s family has a donation drive to get donors to sign up to donate blood. Donors are compensated when they get a bag of iron rich food to replace their donated iron in blood. Lizzie Bell lives in Tucson. Please share by donating a pint of blood. Your body will replace it soon enough and you won’t even miss it.
If you wish to contact Kathy Bell, she is at kathyfloresbell@aol.com or 237-9190 or call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE.
Information about donor requirements and pre-donating tips is at www.givebloodgivelife.org.
