Pete Townsend: UK sex offender Pete Townsend in Miami
Pete Townsend, 64, will play his guitar in The Who during Super Bowl’s half time in Miami. Townsend was once a registered sex offender in the UK in 2003.
By now, Townsend is no longer on the sex offender list as under UK laws, an offender can be taken off the list after 5 years. The child abuse campaign group, “Protect Our Children”, tried but failed to block Townsend’s visa to visit the US.
The group could only distribute fliers to warn residents in the area about Pete Townsend. Townsend is expected to be in Miami/ US in February 2010.
UK’s Scotland Yard believed Pete Townsend when he defended himself on the accusation he used child porn from a Texas based website. Townsend said he was doing research on child abuse when he surfed the child pornography website.
There had been objections raised over the wisdom of allowing Pete Townsend play at a huge national event.

I wonder if “Protect Our Children” issued a similar warning the last time that the sainted Michael Jackson visited their area. Pete Townsend was never charged with a crime and even when he was being investigated there was no suggestion that he ever molested a child. The fact is that no child in Florida or anywhere else is in any danger from him. On the other hand there is considerable anecdotal evidence that Mr Jackson repeatedly availed himself of young boys. Mr Townsend might be in danger though because the people who issued this alert are the same types who assassinate physicians. American hypocrites!!!
pete townsend spent his entire career writing Tommy and Quadrapoenia which are very closely related to child abuse/abandonment. Leave it to these types of groups and the media to be totally obsessed in the guilty until proven innocent category.
