Richard Quick died of brain cancer. Quick was a former women’s team swim coach at Longhorn. Quick was 66 when he died after a fight with brain cancer that was inoperable.

Richard Quick had coached at Texas in the 1980s. Teams coached by Quick won 5 times in a row, from 1984 – 1988. Quick’s teams dominated the NCAA swimming championships. Before his passing, Quick coached the swimming teams at Auburn.
